2018 Jr. RBI Player Rates
Summer is right around the corner, and RBI Austin registration is now open! We are excited for another fun summer of baseball and softball!
Like last year, we are pleased to announce RBI Austin’s partnership with Austin ISD and how this partnership will benefit AISD students this summer.
Since RBI Austin began in 2010 as part of of Major League Baseball’s RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) Program, we have strived to focus on the area that the RBI acronym suggests: the inner city! This focus has directed our mission of engaging and developing inner-city youth through baseball, softball, and long-term mentoring, empowering them to lead the transformation of their communities. RBI Austin has grown from 22 kids in 2010 to 1,171 kids last year, and as we continue to expand our reach, we want to ensure that our primary focus remains!
Because of this and in partnership with AISD, we have created a new Jr. RBI fee structure with two rates effective for the summer season: a player rate for Austin ISD students and a player rate for other students.
Player rate for Austin ISD students: For Austin ISD students, the rate will be $10 for Jr. RBI participants (boys and girls ages 4 – 12).
Player rate for other students: For students not attending an Austin ISD school, the rate will be $100 for Jr. RBI participants (boys and girls ages 4 – 12). If a family wishes to be considered for the AISD player rate, an application can be completed by clicking here (awarded based on financial need and availability).
