Our staff team has been calling the families of all 1,491 RBI Austin kids to assess needs, offer prayer, and help connect them to appropriate resources.

Here is a brief story shared by one of our program directors, Teri:

ISABEL’S FAMILY

Last week, I spoke with one of our RBI Austin moms, *Isabel, a single mother of three who recently lost her job due to COVID-19.

Isabel told me that losing her job meant that she had to choose between feeding her family or falling behind on bills.

She applied for assistance through RBI Austin’s Rain Delay Fund and, shortly after, received a grocery store gift card to purchase food.

Additionally, I was able to share our RBI Austin Family Resource Guide and connect Isabel to some resources for utility assistance.

At the end of our call, I offered to pray with her and she gladly welcomed that. She was encouraged to be reminded that God is her ultimate provider and that He would supply her needs.

Isabel expressed gratitude for RBI Austin and everything we’re doing to support  kids and families in need during this trying time.

I’m continuing to pray for the Lord’s protection and provision for Isabel and her three kids.

Built on Relationships, Not Programs

RBI Austin is built on relationships, and we believe that relationships – not programs – change lives.

So, since the onset of COVID-19, our prayer has been that God would use this pandemic to bring our RBI Austin kids and families deeper into a relationship with Him and with others.

And He is doing just that.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers during this critical time of need!
