Winter Camp Recap

untitled-3

Future big leaguers, scouts, and front office executives…

On Saturday, December 10th, RBI Austin held its third annual Winter Camp at Concordia University Texas. This event brings together talented high school players, college baseball coaches, and MLB scouts for a day of learning and competition.

Winter Camp emphasizes the importance of higher education and helps provide opportunities for youth to maximize their potential in baseball and life. The event included defensive skills work, bullpens, 60-yard dash, hitting, live game scrimmage along with instruction on college readiness, career opportunities in baseball, and faith.

This year’s camp featured 88 top high school players, including our top RBI Austin players, Astros RBI players, and players from as far south as Corpus Christi and as far north as Belton.

Nine collegiate programs and three MLB clubs were represented at Winter Camp. Round Rock Express President Chris Almendarez, Hendrix College Baseball Coach and former St. Louis Cardinals prospect Collin Radack, and Chicago Cubs Scout Kevin Ellis gave inspirational messages to the players.

Huge thanks to the players, college coaches, MLB scouts, and Concordia University Texas for making this day a great success!
