Summer LeagueS
We offer affordable summer baseball and softball leagues for ages 4-12 years old (Jr. RBI) and 13-18 years old (RBI).
Clinics
We offer a variety of skill clinics throughout the year so that kids of all ages can get together to grow in the knowledge of the game and hang out with other RBI Austin kids.
Mentoring
We believe that positive relationships change the game for a child. Coaches, mentors, role models – every kid deserves to have someone in their corner cheering them on!
Player Discipleship Program
We desire to equip young men and women for success both on the field and in life. Our Player Discipleship Program (PDP) pairs groups of 9th-12th graders with a group of positive, adult mentors.
Player Development Academy
In the fall, we offer Player Development Academies where we use the games of baseball and softball to teach players how to grow consistent character, whole hearts, and thriving relationships.
We’re a different kind of sports program
We believe the greatest need in any child’s life is relationships – relationships with people and a relationship with God. RBI Austin leverages baseball and softball to connect kids to positive, consistent relationships.
We love the games of baseball and softball, but if we only focused on building better ball players, we’d be missing the mark. We are more than just a youth sports league. Sports are simply the way that we bring people together and connect kids to teams, coaches, mentors, and a community of support.
Our summer leagues include the Jr. RBI Summer League (ages 4-12) and the RBI Summer League (ages 13-18). In the fall, we offer Baseball and Softball Player Development Academies where we use the game to teach players how to grow consistent character, whole hearts, and thriving relationships. Monthly clinics are available to our Jr. RBI and RBI kids throughout the fall and spring to continue to develop their baseball and softball skills and connect with their coaches and mentors.
Even greater than our love of the game is our desire to see kids be success in life beyond the field. Our mentoring program includes RBI Mentoring, matching mentors to mentees starting in the 4th grade, while our high school Player Discipleship Program pairs groups of 9th-12th grade students with a group of mentors.
More Ages
Since 2009, RBI Austin has been building our age group offerings so that more kids can participate in a quality, relationship-centered sports program. Today, from ages 4-18, kids of all skill and income levels have a place to play baseball and softball alongside positive, consistent coaches.
More Skill Levels
Early on, RBI Austin consisted mostly of beginners to the sport. We now also are an ideal home for more advanced players to develop. This wouldn’t be possible without investment from our volunteers and donors who seek to provide a quality sports program at an affordable rate for families at any income level.
All Types of Families
Since 2011, the disparity in team sports participation between kids from low-income and middle-class homes has grown drastically. During that same timeframe, RBI Austin – consisting of 97% low-income households – has grown from 118 kids in 2011 to over 1,300 kids playing baseball and softball in 2021.
