Coach Casey was part of RBI Austin before there even was an RBI Austin.
From the earliest days volunteering with the East Austin Blazers and Lanier Vikings, to backyard pool baptisms, camping trips, and Rangers games with our high school players, to leading the T-Ball division alongside his wife Dena, to coaching the mighty T-Ball Cobras and Red Sox — Casey literally helped shape the heartbeat of who we are today.
He lived out what we’re about: showing kids that the most important thing in life is relationships — relationships with people, and most importantly, a relationship with God.
It’s hard to say goodbye to our beloved coach and friend. But we’re deeply grateful for his legacy, for the kids and families he welcomed and made feel at home here, for the joy he brought to their lives, for the way he discipled young men and encouraged them in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and for the example he gave us of how to serve and care for others.
God used Casey in countless ways for His glory, both on and off the field, here at RBI Austin and far beyond. We’re grieving the loss of a great friend, but we are so grateful for the life and legacy of Casey Baeslack.
